18th - 20th September 2015

The 2015 LAF Team, led by myself, have now had time to sit down and evaluate the 2015 Lindfield Arts Festival.

With a small team and despite no dedicated artistic director, we can say that this year's contained Festival was a resounding success in more ways than one. We have had consistently good feedback from those connected to the Festival, performers and local residents, most of whom attended. There was a varied, exciting programme which, with the back drop of Lindfield's iconic High Street, showcased local talented actors, musicians, dancers, authors, artists and more.

Once again Lindfield Arts Festival is very grateful to their commercial sponsors particularly Barratt Homes, the charity support from local Rotary groups, Lindfield Preservation Society and The Comber Trust, local District and Parish Councils' grant funding, Friends of the Festival and local traders that enabled the Festival to go ahead by providing the necessary financial support.

In practical terms, there are a host of thank-you's to be offered to the army of volunteers including the hard-working Team LAF 2015 for their practical help before, during and after the Festival days' events. We were delighted that the Lindfield Bonfire Society were able to provide much needed refreshments for the record number of people attending the Arts & Crafts displayed in the King Edward Hall.

We very much appreciated your support this year, and hope that we can look forward to your continued interest for the 2016 Lindfield Art Festival.

Yours sincerely

Geoff Heath

Chairman of the Trustees

AWSponsors, Friends and Volunteers will be at the Bent Arms for the Preview Evening which is showcasing the Alex Wilson Memorial Exhibition in aid of Dementia UK.  Thank you Laura Morgan, Alex's daughter and her family and friends for helping the Lindfield Arts Festival get off to a suitable start.

This will be at 6.30pm until 8.00pm.

If you miss the preview, and you've not seen the Art trail be sure to visit the Stables on Saturday and enjoy the whole exhibition.

After decorating the High Street and highlighting the venues, setting up the Halls and churches, there'll be some relaxation for Team LAF 2015 volunteers.

Together with the Village's Festival goers, they will start their evening off with a laugh at the Comedy Night also in the Bent Arms starting at 8.00pm. lindfieldposter03 1

The Team LAF 2015 will be dressing the village High Street. Bunting, signage and posters will be appearing down the High Street.

The Butcher, King Edward Hall and the Junction all have the big banners advertising the Lindfield Arts Festival.

Preparations are all in hand for Saturday and Sunday's festivities. Not forgetting the Comedy Night in the Bent Arms on Friday night.

Come along and see us. Your Arts, Your Village and we need you.

top endTeam LAF 2015 are getting very excited.  There are only a couple more days to go before the sixth [yes Sixth] Lindfield Arts Festival kicks off.

Each year has had a different theme and focus and this year proves no exception. The High Street will feature prominently on Saturday as a backdrop to local performers.  Listen out for the church bell peals to open the Festival.

We're starting off with the Comedy Night and after a good night's rest will prepare Lindfield High Street for its traffic free day of fun and frolics.  The Plays will be one of the main features but don't forget the workshops happening around the Village and the activities, performances and art and craft displays.

Sunday has the Barefoot Players in the Lindfield Primary School performing their 'Little Women' whilst there will be a band playing in the Stand Up to round the Festival off.

Sue PearsonSaturday and Sunday in the King Edward Hall have a wonderful exhibition of Arts and Crafts.  Surely there'll be something for everyone and it's not too early to shop for Christmas is it?

Lots for everyone to see and do - join us. enquiries@lindfieldartfestival.com
